Gridview record cap - any issues with upping this number?
I'm trying to create dashboards for a busy service desk, and we currently have the GVRC set to 5000 work items, which means that only that number of records could be returned from any search (which is what my dashboards are based on). Is there any danger in server performance suffering if we up this figure?
As we already have 15k jobs since August, would it be in our interests to install the full Analytics suite rather than relying on the out of the box portal dashboards?
Thanks

Geoff_Ross Cireson Consultant O.G.Hi @Paul,
The danger is just slowness in loading the dashboards, and any other page with 5000+ items to load EG All Hardware Assets. These pages could be come unusable as they will take a long time to load.
I would very much recommend using Cireson Analytics and then using SQL queries to bring your data for reporting. You can then allow your SQL server to do all the heavy listing and processing data (which is what is is designed to do) and not your web server (or even in some cases the client browser).
Let me know if you need more info on this as I can't point you in the right direction.
