Simple Timer Built Into Work Item Page

Would love an optional feature that can be enabled or disabled on the different work item forms that simply adds a timer to the page. It starts from 0 when you first open a work item and counts up in seconds for as long as the page is open, resetting to 0 if you browse away or refresh the page. It could sit neatly in the banner at the top of the work item, perhaps in the upper right corner.
As an extra bonus setting for this feature, would be great if, when clicking Save or Apply on the work item, it could add the amount of time it has counted rounded up to the nearest minute to the Time Worked automatically for you. If this isn't possible or is too tricky to implement, just the timer alone would transform our lives. Thoughts?
