Management Pack Install Failure during Portal Version 8 Upgrade

We upgraded from 8.0 to 8.1 running on Windows Server 2016 on SCSM 2016 and received an error that the Cireson Portal MP did not install. When we tried to do it manually, the system stated that it already existed. Deleting it is not an option since many SCSM MP's depend on it. How do we get the new MP installed? We also have ARO if it matters. Thank you

We havent made any changes to the portal MP version so the existing version you have installed will be fine.

Which MP are you looking at?
