Single sign-on issues

We just installed the community portal to check it out, but we're having trouble with the single sign-on functionality.

We ran the installer with windows authentication turned on, and the portal is installed on a secondary management server.

Despite this, we're still getting prompted to authenticate when browsing to the portal.

Anyone able to offer some suggestions as to the cause of this? We're using an out-of-the-box install, so it's a fresh installation and has never worked.
