Customising Home Page for Users

I have been having some fun customising a Home Page for users and thought I would post here to share my experience and thoughts along with getting some feedback.
Essentially the goal was to provide a simple, uncluttered way for the end users to begin their journey with the IT Support options we supply them with.
To that end I have created a really simple Home Page with Four Options for now.
These Options basically just have Links (yet to be created or determined) to the appropriate SR, IR or URL that is relevant to the end users request.
I based my approach on the Custom Calendar code supplied by Steve Tuel at this location.
I still have some work to do with my CSS to improve the general layout and "branding" to match the client specifications, however that is just a matter of doing some further customisation in the custom.theme.min.css file, currently working on for a Friday afternoon, not a bad way to end the week :-)

Have some fun with it and if you have any feedback or questions or IMPROVEMENTS I am up for that. I will probably not be satisfied with it to be fair and will make some more revisions.
You will need to CHANGE the HREF URL's for your own and you could even play around with the images or svg's.
I am also really open to improvements and betters ways of doing this, I am just an Infrastructure guy after all :-)
