How are "missing updates" determined?

Peter_StorkPeter_Stork Customer IT Monkey ✭

Hello there,

in the Remote Manage app under the tab "Installed Updates" all updates are listed with the status "installed" or "missing". How are the "missing" updates determined, which list of available updates is used for the comparison with the client and where from does the app get that list?

King regards
Peter

Hello Matt, thank you for your answer! Just to get this straight: by "the SCCM updates list" you mean the complete list, regardless whether an update in that list is downloaded and deployed or not, is that right?
Hey Peter, that's correct. It uses the complete list and compares it against what it see's on the machine. If it determines the machine is missing an update that is currently on the list, it'll flag it as being "Missing".

Hey Peter, thank you for reaching out to the Cireson Community. The updates and "installed" and "missing" updates lists are reflected off the SCCM updates lists. Whatever update(s) SCCM determines to be missing, will reflect in the remote manage app.
