Upgrading to Asset Management 8.1.2

We are planning to upgrade our Asset Management from v8.1.1 to v8.1.2 to fix the problems described in Cireson PR80633.
I have upgraded our CAM before using the instructions in the KB article and had no issues. I plan to follow the same process this time, but I noticed that the 8.1.2.2012 download also includes Cireson.AssetManagement.Permissions.exe which hasn't been included in previous releases. I can't find any documentation on what it is for, or if it needs to be included in the upgrade process.
Has anyone upgraded to 8.1.2 yet? Does anyone know how/when/where to use the exe?

As far as I know it has always been included. Maybe it was missing of 8.1.1 but its has certainly been there since Asset Management was first created.

However, if you haven't ever used it, its likely you have your permissions setup in such a way so that it's not needed (which I think is the best way).
