Updates and SCSM/Cireson portal

We tend to do most of our changes out of hours because of the impact of importing management packs on CPU and the system performance.

I just wondered if there was other ways of doing things so that changes can be done during the day, but in a less intrusive way. There may not be a better way but I thought I would ask the Community to see what everyone else does.

Thanks.

    Hi Sean,

If you break your management packs into several, smaller management packs that hold a specific type of content, then you will have a lighter impact on resources during an import.

For example, instead of having all "lists" in a single management pack, have several packs to represent lists of a certain class (i.e. Incident, Service Request, Computer, etc.). Also, instead of having all Request Offerings in a single management pack (or even broken up by class), consider having a management pack per Request Offering.

    Thanks,

    Nick
