Create Change From Template - Remove Publish Offering

Valerie_SirouxValerie_Siroux Customer IT Monkey ✭
Hi

We would like to remove the Publish Offering CR template form the list of change templates.
This is not used at the environment and confuses people that need to create other changes.
But the template is in a sealed management pack, so removing the template won't work.

Is there a way to do this fe using security?

@Joe_Burrows We have a similar issue with a bunch of our templates being visible - We have tried scoping within user role(s) and it works within the SCSM Console but they are still visible within the Portal.. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Another gotcha is remembering scoping is a roll up of roles so you also have to make sure your end user role is scoped not to see the templates want hidden - especially if your targeting domain users here.

Sounds like its scoped correctly if its not showing in the console. Scoped access changes are synced every 24 hours and requires cacebuilder and website restart to take affect as per KB1176 - you may just need to give the site a restart in IIS.

Same problem here. Any ideas to solve it? I controlled any role, the template "Service Offering" is never checked.
