Knowledge Articles - Restricting content access

We are currently using Cireson for our IT Services with a plan to extend it to other departments, such as HR.

In order to do this it would be usefull if IT and HR could not edit each others articles. As far as I can see there is only a general Knowledge editor role. Would it be possible to somehow scope the articles in a way that could help us achieve our goal?

    This would be a great addition, as there should be a hierarchy taxonomy that could perhaps be linked to support groups for permissions.

    Yes. There should be at least an Editor role who can create and modify Drafts but cannot Publish KBAs.  This way the manager or Approver  can review work and publish it.
