Auto Population of Activity Implementer for Review Activity in Change Requests

Hayden_EckhoffHayden_Eckhoff Customer IT Monkey ✭

I believe this may already exists and is possible maybe if someone can point me in the right direction as i have search the community but can't find my answers.

I am looking at controlling the auto population of Review Activity>reviewers with lets say the users in Business Service CI group in change request or by selecting an Area.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Hayden

It's going to require some automation through either SCO, SMA, or Cireson PSA. But it's absolutely doable. The idea would be:

    1. A runbook that exists as the first Activity in the CR/SR
    2. That runbook gets the Related or Impacted Business Service on the CR/SR
    3. It creates a Reviewer on a specific RA in the CR/SR for each (let's say) Service Contact in the Business Service

The runbook/automation step completes and by the time the RA engages all of the Reviewers have been set.

I know it's been awhile, but I figured I'd follow up to this and share that the last post in my blog series on Definitive Service Manager PowerShell has two functions that would be of interest here:

    • Add-SCSMReviewer
    • Get-BusinessServiceUsers
