SCSM Management Pack - Change

CaterhamITSupportCaterhamITSupport Member Advanced IT Monkey ✭✭✭

Dear All,

I have a sealed management pack with a check box. I would like to remove the check box, how is best to do this? This checkbox hasn't been used so it will not make any difference if deleted.

So I need to understand the steps to remove this i.e. export management pack, edit in Service Manager Auth Tool, seal up and reimport? Is this the correct way of doing this? I don't want to affect the other items in the Management Pack though.

    Hi Daniel,

You cannot remove one property of a class. SCSM will not allow you to reimport a Management Pack if a property if missing. Can delete the whole MP but this will mean you LOSE ALL THE DATA in the other properties.

You can create a new Management Pack with all properties except the checkbox, and then script to move all the data from the old set of properties to the new set and then you can remove the old Management Pack.

However, you are probably best of just ignoring the check box property by removing it from your form.
