Asset Import Connector to support Scandinavian CSV format

Hi,

One for all of our Scandinavian friends in the Cireson family.

Scandinavian countries, and a few others around the world use semicolons instead of comma in the CSV format. So of you save some data in Excel as csv format, and it has ';' between columns instead of ','.

So, can we have an option in Asset Import to switch into this mode and process data with semicolons as the delimiter?

Hi,

german Cireson User here with the same problem. It causes the most problems in the comment section of an Asset, if you use a comma in the text.
Changing the Delimiter seems like the best solution.

This would be great, some of our data we'd like to import from another system has a ton of commas " , " in their names / strings and no semicolons and thus it's messing the data up real bad.:(

Cireson, please add the choice of column delimiter to the Asset Import Connector. This is a basic setting in Excel, I don't know why your connector is missing this option. @Adam_Dzyacky ? Thanks :)

Cireson has no obligation to monitor the Communication Services. However, Cireson reserves the right to review materials posted to a Communication Service and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. Cireson reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.

Cireson reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, rule, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in Cireson’s sole discretion.

Always use caution when giving out any personally identifying information about yourself or your children in any Communication Service. Always use caution when giving out any information concerning your employer or customers, if any. TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION
