Hi All,
i need to perform an SCSM upgrade from 2012 to 2016.
How should I proceed to upgrade the Cireson portal?
Can I easily upgrade in place with the 2016 version and then restore my customizations?
Does the same apply to management packs on SCSM?

AGREEMENT BETWEEN USER AND CIRESON
The Cireson Community Web Site is comprised of various web pages operated by Cireson, LLC (collectively, the web pages are referred to herein as the “Cireson Community Web Site”).

NO UNLAWFUL OR PROHIBITED USE
As a condition of your use of the Cireson Community Web Site, you warrant to Cireson that you will not use the Cireson Community Web Site for any purpose that is prohibited by law, rule regulation or by any of these terms, conditions, and notices, including, without limitation the export of any Software or technical data to any country prohibited by law. You may not use the Cireson Community Web Site in any manner which could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Cireson Community Web Site or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the Cireson Community Web Site. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided for through the Cireson Community Web Site.
USE OF COMMUNICATION SERVICES
The Cireson Community Web Site may contain bulletin board services, chat areas, news groups, forums, communities, personal web pages, calendars, and/or other message or communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate with the public at large or with a group (each a “Communication Service,” and collectively, “Communication Services”). TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION
Cireson reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Cireson Community Web Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.
GENERAL
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A. and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in San Diego County, California, U.S.A. in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the Cireson Community Web Site. Use of the Cireson Community Web Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation this paragraph. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and Cireson as a result of this agreement or use of the Cireson Community Web Site. Cireson’s performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of Cireson’s right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of the Cireson Community Web Site or information provided to or gathered by Cireson with respect to such use. Hi @Davide_Gatti - You can safely upgrade from a 2012 version of the portal to a 2016 version. If you're talking about the Cireson management packs in SCSM, you can safely upgrade them as well.

@Justin_Workman , wish we had known that when we upgraded. We went with all new hardware, a completely clean install and then used the Cireson LMA (Lifecycle Management Application) to copy all our Custom MPs, Settings, CMDB, and Work Items to the new environment. And then we did it two more times (so we had a Dev/Sandbox, QA/Staging, and Production all exact images of old Prod)
While it was 100% successful (thank you LMA!), it was very time consuming!
