How can the new Microsoft Office Licensing be reflected in Software Asset Management

Microsoft changed its licensing model for Office from device to user-based (Enterprise Cloud Suite). This means that each user can actually use 5 installations of an Office product on any device (Laptop, via TS, mobile phone,...). As soon as such a user has the 6th connection/usage to an Office product, an additional license needs to be purchased for this user.

How can this be checked and reflected in Software Asset Management? Would it be possible with the usage of the Asset Management Software Metering app? We deploy Software via SCCM using user-based collection but this wouldn't show the usage on Terminal Servers or maybe on a mobile phone.

Any other idea where to get the information from and how to display it in Software Asset management?

Thanks

Ingrid
