Why is license key expiration reporting incorrectly?

Martyn_FearnMartyn_Fearn Customer Adept IT Monkey ✭✭

Our portal is reporting that the license will expire in 4 days.  In the Admin settings we are seeing this:-

These license key(s) expire on: 01/01/0001

I have tried refreshing the keys but it has made no difference.  We are running version 5.0.7 of the portal.

Has anyone else seen this and know what the problem might be?

TIA

    Hi Martyn,

I do get a "Cireson applications license expiration warning" mail each morning since 5 days telling me that my licenses are about to expire in 15 days or less. My licenses expire the 21st of October 2016, stated in the same mail.

I was told by Support that it seems to be an issue with licensing Service, but my licenses should continue to work until the real expiry date (hopefully).

     Hi Ingrid,

That's my concern and our message suggests it will expire in only 4 days (despite it being valid until Feb 2017).  If the portal stops working I won't be very popular :(

    Hi @Joe_Burrows,

Our warning message appears to have cleared now.  Is the issue resolved?

However, in admin settings we are still seeing:-

These license key(s) expire on: 01/01/0001

Is this issue related to the same problem?

    Hi Martyn

Can you try refresh your keys again now and let me know if the correct dates show?

    Regards
    Joe

    Hi Joe,

I refreshed them manually and it's still like it I'm afraid:-

This happened to us and our portal did stop working. We are now using V1 keys (generated via licensing.cireson.com/) and use these as a workaround for now.

    @Martyn_Fearn

I have raised this as IR53488 on you behalf and will get one of the engineers in the UK to follow this up with you.

We are seeing similar behavior.  Our keys expire in Feb 2017 yet we get the daily email that they are expiring in 15 days or less.  I opened a case with Support [IR52964] and was told they are working on a fix.

I'm still getting the daily mail as well telling me that my licenses are about to expire. Do I have to fear that the Portal will stop working soon, as it happened to Kenneth?

I have an open case IR52653 because I had errors in event log that license notification doesn't work. After replacing the LicenseManagement.Client.dll with the most current version, notification started with the license expiring warning.

The following Cireson applications are set to expire in 15 days or less:

App: Asset Management Import Expires: 21.10.2016 Status: Valid
App: Asset Management Expires: 21.10.2016 Status:
    Valid
App: My Active Work Items Expires: 21.10.2016 Status:
    Valid
App: Notify Analyst Expires: 21.10.2016 Status:
    Valid
App: View Builder Expires: 21.10.2016 Status: Valid
