Use "Create on behalf of" to drive query results

Given analysts the technically the only ones with access to this field, it would make sense that they could truly simulate the "on behalf of" mechanism in that by filling out the field the query results (if any) of said request would leverage this field instead of the current signed on user.

The specific use case here is something like "I want to install software on my PC" and the query results show the PCs that belong to that user (as defined by SCCM). If an analyst attempts to fill this request out, they can't actually do it on behalf of someone else. While this is a very specific scenario, there certainly are a host of other applications.

This is a feature that I would love!
We have a non-IT team raising after hours tickets and this functionality would be extremely helpful, even just to allow them to easily validate the contact details of the user.

I seem to have typoed that first line. It should read "Given analysts are technically the only ones..."

We are also looking for this solution.

We have “Move Asset” request offering. If you do it on behalf of someone else the query result (for question: “Select Assets to be moved”) should filter out only assets that belong to that user.

Another scenario that this would be especially useful for is HR style requests:

    • Hire/change/terminate on behalf of someone else (i.e. someone isn't in the office and someone else needs to pick one of their direct reports to modify)

I know this is ages old, but is this anywhere on the roadmap? I am in desperate need of this for Users and something similar for Configuration Items.
