I noticed the bundle feature within software assets, and thought "that's cool" I was thinking I could create a bundle for Microsoft Office in which I define word, excel, powerpoint, etc and have them roll up to Office, at which level I would track my usage, metering, purchases, etc, as that is the level at which I am licensed.
However, I created the asset yesterday and bundled those three apps under it, and got nada!
Anyone used this feature, and I am using it correctly?

You are using is correctly but any record that is going to count against a Bundle Software Asset type each of the items listed int he Bundle need to be present. So if one is missing on a Computer it will not count.
The Software Name Pattern and Version Pattern need to be accurate to find the application that you are trying to track, and finally, computer CI's need to have valid inventory from ConfigMgr to search.
It's a tough one as many times there are sub sections installed that need to be counted, for example, if someone installs Office 2013 Pro Plus, but only installs Outlook, they are still consuming an Office 2013 Pro Plus license.
I would suggest looking for MS Office Pro Plus as the installer value as there is usually the Office installer listed to allow other components to be added alter on.
