Categories have gone!

As an end user, all the categories have disappeared in the self service portal. They still show as an analyst.

We recently did a server restart to fix an issue with the DB connection (it is our DEV site) and since then, I cannot seem to get the categories back.
I have tried republishing the Service Offerings and I have also tried recreating the categories and remapping.

Has anyone had any issues with this before or can provide some assistance?

    There are a few things to check.

    1. Have the catalog groups been changed recently?
    2. Has the End User group in the console been changed recently?
    3. Has the End User group definition in the portal been changed recently (admin settings)?
    4. Have any of the underlying AD security groups been changed recently?
    5. Have you tried truncating some of the ServiceManagement tables to force the cache to refresh?
    6. Have you made sure the cache builder is not logging errors? Also check the LastModified table in the ServiceManagement db to ensure each process has run within the last 24 hours.
