  The current tools work with Current Branch.
  I believe the current version is 1610.
  
  Configuration Manager and it's "Current Branch" format means the code base does not change in any significant way for iteration to iteration but rather it is just adding features.
  Tools like the Cireson Free Tools, should continue to work until such time as MS changes some core functionality or the code base.

  The toolkit does work for current branch versions. As Brett indicated, there is no 1607, you probably mean 1606, which actually did become available in July (month 07).
  
  I believe that the product group is working on some updates to the tools.

  Thank you for your answer. Yes I did mean 1606. Current Branch version numbers are sometimes a blur depending on whether Windows or Configuration Manager is in view.

  Yes, that is a slight issue now, the two technologies are somewhat aligned, so do have to be cognizant of them. No worries though, and I guess we can't just say "current branch" either, because of Windows :-) So Configuration Manager current branch 1606 (or now the latest is 1610, with tons of new features in it to take a look at).
  
  And yes, the current toolkit should work with any current branch release from what I've seen.
