Issue with Cireson Portal v7.4.2012.9 With Dates in String Fields

We've run into an issue in the Cireson Portal v7.4.2012.9 where when a date '5/24/2017 11:00 PM' is entered in a string field and you go back and later change that date, a Data Conflict failure is presented. I can even add a date (12/12/2017) to the title or description and press apply or save and when I see the SR again, it's added a time (5:00 PM in my case). I've been able to confirm this in three environments so far and am curious to know if anyone is seeing this issue. We're moving all the way from v4.0.10 where this was not an issue.

I've reported to Cireson Support and I'm waiting to hear back, but curious to see if anyone else is coming across this.
