Home Configuration Manager Ticker

Is there a documented API for the Ticker App?

I wanted to see if a 3rd party tool could invoke an announcement towards a specific collection.

    Hi Stefan,

    Great question.
It is not possible to add any automation around the Ticker App at this point; you will have to use the app.

When we post the announcement, we save the announcement data to a Hardware Class.
But even if you export that inventory data, changing it and re-importing wouldn't help, since we add some verification data to the announcement to ensure no one can do what you propose :-)

Of course we would allow you as a ConfigMgr admin to do, but we want to ensure no one else can send something to your clients.

What you are proposing could certainly be possible to do. Go, create a feature request for the Ticker App:

For example, an email notification is sent out but that script also invokes an announcement be sent to workstations.
