Performance tuning for CMP

  I can't think of any reason not to tune up the performance of the CMP in IIS. There may be something that I'm unaware of, but not entirely sure. 
  Have you read somewhere that Application Initilisation shouldn't be tweaked?

  Nope, just curious. I was about to start performing it and realized I was doing it out of a force of habit, just wanted to know if there was a reason from the dev side that I shouldn't.

  If you have a test environment, give it a go there. If anything goes wrong, you can always revert it and not cause service disruption.

  Agree that application initialization should be helpful, although I haven't set it up personally against the CMP so it's worth a test first as Tony mentioned. The only drawback I can think of is higher memory usage, as the Portal would be running when you technically aren't using it.

  You could setup the IIS App init, but not sure how much it will help on the performance side, but as Tony and Nicholas notes, there is no harm in doing so.
  Most data is being cached in the IIS cache, but expires unless used with a short while.
  We also stores data for performance optimization in the users session.
