Creating Master contract
In asset management I want to create a Master Contract but I can not find how to do this. does anybody knows?

Nicholas_Velich Cireson Consultant Ninja IT Monkey ✭✭✭✭A "Lease" or "Warranty" is capable of becoming a master contract (note: "Support and Maintenance" contracts cannot be a master).
The primary reason for a master Lease/Warranty is to make their start/end dates relative, instead of fixed.
Pictured below is an example of a master Lease. The first step to create a "Master Contract" is to select the "Master Contract" checkbox:
Once you have a contract (master or otherwise), it can be linked to HW Assets on the HW Asset form as shown below. Just click the "..." and select the appropriate contract.
For a master Lease/Warranty, the Start Date will be based on the "Received Date", and that can be overridden with a value in the "Master Lease/Warranty Starts" field.
One extra note is that you probably have more than one machine to link to your contract. You can "bulk-link" multiple machines to a single Lease by using the "Associate Lease" task:

Does this also apply to Software assets? I want to make a master contract for a Software Asset. the user manual says that Leases are for Hardware.
