Show Resolution Details for Workitems (IR etc.) to Endusers via SSP

Currently, as an end user, I don't see the resolution description or details of tickets I open.  Sure, this can be added to the email notification, but sometimes I want to go back and see past workitems and their resolution as a reminder of what fixed my issue.  

I understand why the Resolution tab is not shown to the end user, but perhaps we could show the tab with limited information - just resolution description and details?  Perhaps, we could show this information as a pop-up on the General page for end users?  Maybe even a tool-tip when hovering over the "Resolution".  Food for thought!
