Collection Creation - Change limiting collection
Is there a way we can change the limiting collection for a collection that is created
this is currently All Systems by default. limiting too many collections to this can have adverse affects on Collection update times
would it be possible to change this or make this a configurable item based on the user and or Deployment Scope?

I believe you mean when creating on-demand collections when deploying software?
If so, there is a way to change it. In the IIS folder, typically stored on C:\Inetpub\ConfigMgr Portal, you will find the file configuration.xml.
Open this with notepad or another editor, go to the Package section and locate 'LimitingDeviceCollectionID'.
Change this to the id of the Limiting Collection.
We do plan to be able to define this a bit easier in a future version, but this is how you could do it currently.
Best regards
