SCOM alerts to SCSM incident Validation Error

Sandra_ColeSandra_Cole Customer IT Monkey ✭

We have SCOM alerts set to trigger an Incident request(scom connector). The Incident is created however we get an error when opening or saving a comment to the incident.  Our environment is SCSM 2016, SCOM 2012  and Current Portal Version: 8.7.0.2016 \ Management Pack Version: 7.7.2016.185

     The error is below

Date:
Application: System Center Service Manager
Application Version: 7.5.7487.0
Severity: Error
Message: Cireson Form Validation

System.Exception: Unknown class name: 'Microsoft.SystemCenter.WorkItem.SCOMIncident'

Can anyone tell me where to look for the class name:'Microsoft.SystemCenter.WorkItem.SCOMIncident' ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks,

    Hi Sandra,

We spoke on this yesterday and discovered the issue was related to a form extension/customization that was based on the vanilla Incident class, rather than the SCOMIncident class used for SCOM-created-Incidents. After updating the classes used by the customization, the validation error was resolved.

    Thanks,
    Nick
