Keep True/False property value as is when applying a template

Hi,

Using the Exchange Connector, I apply a Template when an incident is updated. The mail body is appended to the action log, and I apply a Template to set the support group. What happens to the True/False properties when applying the Template ? I can choose between True/False/Null. Which value should I use if I want those properties just to remain what they were, iow not updated by applying the Template ?

you can just delete the lines that hold the fields you do not want to have it update then re-import the MP, that way those fields won't be set when applying the template

personally I've found when creating the templates it seems to add some fields to be set automatically to blank or false or null etc, so whenever i create a new template now i export it, check the fields it wants to update, and remove any it added that i did not set specifically in the console, then re-import it again.

I've found this is especially important when applying a template to an already existing workitem so that it does not change fields someone else has already set previously

From what I could see in the exported MP, True/False properties are always added.

Cireson has no obligation to monitor the Communication Services. However, Cireson reserves the right to review materials posted to a Communication Service and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. Cireson reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.

Cireson reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, rule, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in Cireson’s sole discretion.

Always use caution when giving out any personally identifying information about yourself or your children in any Communication Service. Always use caution when giving out any information concerning your employer or customers, if any. Cireson does not control or endorse the content, messages or information found in any Communication Service and, therefore, Cireson specifically disclaims any liability with regard to the Communication Services and any actions resulting from your participation in any Communication Service. Managers and hosts are not authorized Cireson spokespersons, and their views do not necessarily reflect those of Cireson.

Materials uploaded to a Communication Service may be subject to posted limitations on usage, reproduction and/or dissemination. You are responsible for adhering to such limitations if you download the materials.

TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION

GENERAL

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A. and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in San Diego County, California, U.S.A. in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the Cireson Community Web Site. Use of the Cireson Community Web Site is unauthorized in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these terms and conditions, including without limitation this paragraph.
