Unable to restart CiresonPasswordReset service

Darren_OLearyDarren_OLeary Customer IT Monkey ✭
I am unable to restart the CiresonPasswordReset service after stopping it to move the DB to another SQL server.
I've updated the Platform_CiresonPasswordReset.CONFIG file to point to the new SQL server and instance.

Each time i attempt to start it, i get the following error message:
The CiresonPasswordReset service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

Any suggestions on getting this back up and running?
Thanks

    *** UPDATE ***
Have worked out that the CONFIG file does not like having a DB instance specified in the connection string.
Reverted back original CONFIG file and service was able to be started without further issue.

Does anyone know if the PWR will only work when the DB is located on the first DB instance or can it be located on another instance?

    Hi Darren

It can be on a named instance - just needs a double slash, for example:
