PR84887 - Request Offerings slow to save.
Am trying to view this PR record from the release notes of 9.3.8 and unable to view. Indicates that item either does not exist or I do not have permissions.
We are experiencing about a 15 second delay when saving filled out request offerings to create a work item and would like to know if it is related to this issue.
Can someone share the details of PR84887?

Hi @Jason_Meyer
Application Version:
V9.0/V9.2
Problem Description:
When you create a work item using a request offering based on a template with a lot of nested activities, the portal takes a long time to generate the work item. Testing indicates that there is a delay updating the activities in the WorkItem table of the ServiceManagement database.
Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Create a template base on the Service Request class
Add 20 activities distributed over a number of parallel activities
Create a Request Offering based on this template
Use the Request Offering in the Portal to generate a new SR as a non-admin.
Thanks,
Shane
Thanks Shane, how long of a delay were staff seeing with this issue?
Our Request Offering has no activities so guess we are back to the drawing board.
Seeing a mixed variety in the PR, some do not specify activites and saying 10-30 seconds on average so you may not need to go to the drawing board yet!
OK, cool. It would be great if the new version fixes our issue.
After the update/upgrade, what kind of response time should we expect for SAVING?
Appreciate the information.
To be honest! I am not 100% sure, I would time it before and after the upgrade (if you plan on doing it) and letting us know through Support what the feedback is so we can continue to improve if necessary 😀
OK, we've upgraded to 9.3.10 and encountered some bugs so are going to roll back to 9.3.9. Our SAVE time on some Request Offerings is in the 9-10 second range.
Is this 'normal'? How do we improve this, for some of our customers this is 3x what they were used to on their previous tracking system for tracking/logging the same incident.
What kind of time frames are you seeing in your environment for SAVING a request via a request offering? Anyone?
Anyone?
Does Cireson offer any kind of support to help troubleshoot this?
Hi @Jason_Meyer
We do offer Support for this yes, my advice would be to log this kind of issue through Support though rather than on the Community :)
Thanks,
Shane
