Cireson Asset Excel App - Search and update HW Assets

Hi,

Using the Cireson Asset Excel App, I'm trying to select all assets of a given HW Asset Type, finding I can't search on this property ??

In fact, I want to make some manual updates to a subset of assets. What are the steps ? I remember having seen an update button on the first row of the excel, but I can't find it anymore.

Hi Stephane,

Searching for HW Asset Type in versions 8.0.1 and below is currently not an available feature. However, in the next release of Asset Excel (Release ETA is sometime in Sept), Asset Type search is available. In the interim, you can pull in the HW Assets and from the HW Asset Type column heading you can filter by HW Asset Type.

If I understand your question regarding updating "some" HW Assets and not all, you should have that ability. Do you not have the "Import Hardware Asset(s)" button in the ribbon bar? If so, I suspect something is wrong with your Asset Excel installation or corruption.  You may want to try uninstalling/reinstalling Asset Excel MSI. If referring to something else, let me know.

Thanks, I was confused, the import buttons indeed do the trick.
