Service Offerings unavailable to users

Dan_StyanDan_Styan Customer IT Monkey ✭

We are currently running the Microsoft Silverlight portal on Server1.  We have the Cireson portal on Server2.

When we (IT Department) go to the Cireson Portal, we can see the service offerings (Published Service Request & Incidents); however when the end user goes to the Cireson Portal they see no service offerings.

It screams permissions however they can see them fine in the Silverlight portal with no problems, so permissions should be okay.

Thanks

To make this easier to narrow down the issue, pick a single service offering and request offering. What are the permissions for that service offering (groups and roles). Do the end users have access and via what role? Now look at the RO and check the same thing. Can you show the chain of permissions from where the AD group is assigned, to the role, to the group that contains the SO/RO?

One thing to note is that the Cireson Portal gives permissions based on the SO and ignores the RO permissions, while the OOB portal defines by both so it's a bit more complicated normally.

We also need to make sure your cachebuilder is running without any errors as this is where the scoping occurs for the permissions in the Cireson Portal.
