Date Field, How to get 'FromRelative', 'ToRelative' working properly?

Adrian_PaechAdrian_Paech Customer Advanced IT Monkey ✭✭✭

Hi all,

Am trying to enable our support staff to set the "Required By" date field when logging a service request, as we use this for our SLAs, rather than priority and urgency.

Unfortunately I cannot get the "FromRelative" setting to work properly on the data field. (as per the following article: https://support.cireson.com/KnowledgeBase/View/51#/#heading-5 )

Here is my example.

{ DataType: "Date", PropertyDisplayName: "Required By Date", PropertyName: "RequiredBy", FromRelative: "days:+1", Required: true },

Whenever I try to set the FromRelative setting the date always becomes unelectable. Is there a trick to get this working?

Regards,

Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

Interesting. What version of the Portal are you running?
In version 6 I'm seeing very odd results where with that property set, the data picker just shows up blank but I can free type a date (any date past or future) and save the form.
In version 5, I get the data picker, which shows dates past and future and I can pick any one of them and save the form.
Either way, not expected behaviour but seems to be different from what you are getting.

Im running 6.0.2, and getting exactly the same results as you described.

Want me to log a bug / incident with Cireson?

@Adrian_Paech let's see if @carrie_medine can confirm the issue and then we will have you submit an IR to the support team.

    Thanks

    Hi James.

Thanks for that. I have already submitted a IR a week or so ago.

    Hi Carrie,

In version 7.0 of the portal this does not seem to be resolved?

Should I log a new case?

    Regards,

    Adrian

Yes please open a new incident as this was reproducible and confirmed to be fixed in 7.0, perhaps there is something else causing an issue.
