How can I add Work Item Search to individual groups?

Currently, all SCSM analysts are able to search for Work Items using the top bar search feature.  I want to give this ability/access to management.  I add the Managers Active Directory group to the Navigation Settings -> Search and the Search option appeared in the left hand icon menu bar but "Work Item" isn't accessible from the top search bar.  The only items that are in the drop down are Knowledge Base and Service Catalog.  Please let me know how to get this feature to work for our managers' group.   Thank you.  Pat

Work Item search becomes available as part of the Analyst Portal. If you need your managers to be able to access Work Item search, you will need to add them to the Analyst group which you used to set up the Cireson Portal/Cachebuilder.

You could build a custom Work Item Search and present it to whoever needs it.
