How do I change my DW Retention to 7 years?

It is truly horrendous how much goes wrong if you don't make the retention last, cubes get corrupted (if you don't perfect the SSAS Cubes) when data is no longer there among other things like reporting becoming inaccurate and unreliable!

I haven't made that change before, however there is a blog post describing that procedure. https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/thomase/2014/08/21/change-the-data-warehouse-retention-period/
Again I haven't tried this, so do test in your dev/test env first.
