Analytic views add filter by date

Hi All,
How to customize Cireson Analytic to show filter by date, like if we want to filter the view only for one week or month or custom dates...

Please share step by step or KB how to achieve this.

out of the box, you can add a date filter by adding @createdFilter into the WHERE statement of a SQL widget and checking the box for "Enable Chart Filtering" KB for this is here

Is it possible to add different user defined filters such as one for support groups, categories, etc., etc similar to the @createdfilter?  If so, where would I add them?
