There is more than one way to do this, but my recommendation would be setting URL rewrite in IIS, assuming you use IIS to host the portal.

Be aware that installing/upgrading the portal removes your rewrite rule if it is at the site level.  Either set it at the root of the web server or be prepared to script it (or manually re-add it) after each update.

Hello Tom. This slipped off our radar but not its mission critical to do this. Would doing the URL rewrite migrate the cireson sm portal to HTPS ? Is there a link to detailed instructions how to do this - including any certificates that need be generated. I am looking for complete instructions. Thank you

Certificates are out of scope for this product because the way you obtain them depends completely on your own environment.  Once you have one, however, here is the way you set the portal: https://support.cireson.com/KnowledgeBase/View/76#/
