IT Monkey:

We've recently combined two free community apps, Action Log Notify and Notify Analyst, into one more complete app to solve every-day business challenges and further streamline your Service Request Management operations.

Notify Analyst includes all of the features you know and love from Action Log Notify, including the ability to:

-Notify the assigned to Analyst when an End User comment is added to the action log
-Notify the Affected User when an Analyst comment is added
-Automatically send email notifications to an Analyst or their associated support groups
-Send reassignment emails between Analysts

Effective August 1, 2017, Cireson's Action Log Notify app will no longer be supported. While you may continue to use it, we will no longer provide any support or updates to ensure compatibility with your other apps. We highly recommend downloading the Notify Analyst Community app to ensure business continuity and stability moving forward.

There is no way to change the template to another language.
    Hello Eugen,,

Our templates for Action Log Notify can be written in HTML or Plain text. You would just need to write the template in the language you chose But with that said are you looking for something like this:

You want to be able to provide different language versions of the templates which would be sent to the analysts based on the users language preference?

So if Analyst Hans used German, he would get the notification in German, while Pierre would get the email in French

Is this what you are looking for?

    Hi Merle,

I know for our environment, we would love to have something that follows the structure you've noted above. Currently our plans are to send all end user facing communication as bi-lingual as a work around but as you could guess, it looks less than stellar and it very cumbersome to deal with both administratively as well as from an end user experience.

Maybe you guys can cook up some dev magic? :)

    Thanks,

    Jonathan Boles

This is actually a service manager issue, in terms of the limitations of the built in notifications system. In addition to this, it's also an issue with our 'Action Log Update' application as this does not currently support more than one language (the language you write the template in).

There is an alternative though... you can replace the notification system with one built within Orchestrator or Powershell (or both depending on how you do it). We've done this a number of times for clients and this allows a lot more flexibility. Using this method you can look at information in the user account to determine language and send a specific template rather than just a generic template.

Hi @Eugen_Mueller - Does Seth's suggestion using Orchestrator/Powershell answer your question?

    Thanks,

Sorry for warming up this conversation fromn las year. Is there any update? (I sadly don't think so, since our mail template is sent with the same Header right now..)

Is there maybe a way to just Change the coded value "...has been updated" to the one language someone prefers? The other Values like Ticket ID are created dynamc anways.

    Regards
    Florian
