Save/Apply Reminder when Adding Comment to Action Log

The new feature to allow you to edit a comment you've added to the action log before clicking Save/Apply is great, but we can't make use of it because we have a customisation that automatically applies and refreshes the page when you click Add.
This is because so many of our users don't understand they need to click Save or Apply after clicking Add.
So we can have the best of both worlds and turn off the auto-apply customisation, couldn't we have a small line of eye-catching text to the left of the Add button, a little tooltip style bubble, anything along the lines of:
"Please click Save or Apply at the bottom of the page to confirm your comment."
That appears after clicking Add?
