How to Create Public Knowledge Base?
I'm not sure where to ask this question -- hopefully this is the right sub for this.
Can you make the Knowledge Base public?

Not exactly as you have described, but there is an Analyst Content and an End User Content tab on a KB.
So only Analysts in the portal see the Analyst content, and if you created a KB with only Analyst content, then it would only be visible in searches for analyst.
Would this achieve what you are trying to do/
Thanks,
Shane

Hi @Robin_Cormie ,
Welcome to the Cireson Community. Great to have you on board. Are you a new Cireson fan or just not got round to joining the community until now?
Do you mean public as in available with authenticating? Or public as in available via the Internet?
Assuming the former, the answer is sort of...
Do you want to explain a little more about what you are trying to do and I can be more specific.
Geoff
I wondering if you could have both an internal / IT-Only knowledge base, which requires authentication... and a public knowledge base via the internet for end-users.
Thank you.

Thank you, that definitely clears some things up.

For completes' sake, this is possible but only by creating your own web front end for the public KB and then using the Cireson KB as a data source via the oData endpoint that can be accessed by a service account using an API token.
This is what Cireson have done to create kb.cireson.com but its completely bespoke. There's no way to allow anonymous access to the actual Cireson Portal as it used SCSM as an auth provider which does not support anonymous.
Would you be interested / able to create something like that?
