1) Count every match per device and subtract from available count. This option allows for software that can be installed multiple times on a single PC. If turned on this option will count each of the installations even if it is on the same PC.
2) Unlimited or site license. This option wont bother counting installs as the license covers everything.
3) Calculate Purchase Count from License Counts. This option looks at all related License CI's and totals the number of licenses purchased and shows that in the Purchase Count field. (This is the most common used setting in this section)
4) Ignore Authorized Cost Centers, Organizations and Locations on this Software Asset. To allow Asset Admins to control who is using what software asset, the system allows Asset Admins to restrict a Software Asset to a give group of users or devices. This is done via the Authorization tab and allows the Software Asset to be restricted to computers within an Organization, a Cost Center, a Location or even specifically identified PC's or Users. If the PC does not have a relationship with one of these Authorized CI's then it will not be counted against this Software Asset.
This option then allows an admin to turn off those rules without having to delete or remove all the Authorization rules that may already exist.
I hope this answers your question but I'm happy to go in to more detail on the authorizations tab if you like.7
