Is there a way for an analyst to edit the work items view and make it a default view?

I have an analyst that wants to remove some of the columns on the work items view and set that as default for his portal, he is able to create the view but it always reverts to the standard view each time he opens the work items.  Is there a way for him to save his view as a default?

    The analyst cleared his cache and cookies and has not had the issue again after setting up his views.

    I meant the My Work view?

    I believe the portal should save the changes he makes (in local storage I'm guessing) to his own views, so it should be persistent. Is he maybe working in an private / incognito window for some reason?

    He says that it does hold the view for a while but it eventually gets reset to the default setting, we have not been able to see a pattern or anything that would cause it to reset.
