No Categories listing
Hi I am new to this forum, we have a new install and we cannot see any categories listing. Any help will be very handy. Our scsm install is 2019 and also very new. everything else seems to be working, can raise incidents and add Kb.

If you got this sorted @coolpb that's great. But if you didn't/anyone else were to come across this thread -
The Categories on the left that you highlight in red are Service Offering Categories that are defined in the SCSM Console -> List section. However, Service Offering Categories only appear on the portal once you have...
- At least 1 Published Service Offering with
- At least 1 Published Request Offering related to it

If I'm following correctly here, you can actually use Request Offerings to publish requests that create Incidents (e.g. Report an Issue)
Using the SCSM Console (not the portal) is how you can create Templates, Request Offerings, and Service Offerings. If you head into the Console and click "Service Catalog", Service Manager actually gives you a how-to rundown.
High level though:
- You'll need to create a new Template that targets the Incident Class. Save it into a new Management Pack.
- You'll create a Request Offering called something like "Submit an Issue"
- That Request Offering on the very first page will ask you to pick a Template. Just click the down arrow next to Template to select Incident templates. Then select your Template from step 1.
- Create prompts and define their constraints if any, then Publish.
- Next, you need to create a Service Offering which is a collection of Request Offerings. For example, your Service Offering could be called "Information Technology".
- Add the Published Request Offering from Step 3 here. Then Publish the Service Offering.

Are you using Cireson KB or the SCSM KB?
i think ciseron kb, because the kb from scsm is not showing up.
Please check it out - if you haven't changed it, it's scsm by default

I get the following error:
Sorry for such a noob question. so i need to register somewhere else. I am logged in to community here.
Can't you use the same login as the community login?
Are you using the free version of the portal or licensed?
same as community login. free version
i was able to get to it using the email link for install. how do i get the categories for scsm to show?
Sorry - I only know about the Cireson KB and i think you need a license for that feature :)
