Cireson AddIn with new Outlook?

Sam_NguyenSam_Nguyen Customer IT Monkey ✭

Has anyone been able to get the Cireson addin to work with the new Outlook from Microsoft?

New Outlook isn't publicly released yet, but many organizations are able to try it. When I tested, my Cireson plugin did not migrate over and is not available to checkbox.

The install directions we currently have involve installing VSTOR, but some blogs indicate VSTO/COM addins aren't supported in the new Outlook.

Any ideas?

Documentation from Microsoft (at the time of this post) states that VSTO and COM add-ins will not work on the new version of Outlook.

That said, this is something we are aware of and discussing.

Over in this thread, I asked what the big feature needs are. It might sound obvious, but it's because as we've been approaching this. This would more than likely, have to move entirely to work against the SMP portal APIs vs the underlying SCSM SDK so as to support not just new Outlook on the desktop, but simultaneously Outlook on the web. I'll update this thread with more info when I can.
