Install SCCM Agent from ConfigMgr Portal

It doesn't appear that this functionality exists in the latest CMP. The ability to deploy the agent manually from the portal is extremely useful (and required) if you are not configured for auto-deployment. We have several business reasons why we cannot enable it but without this option present in the portal, analysts must either a) login to the full SCCM console or b) run a lengthy PowerShell script to install the agent on a target system.

This is a great idea, and something that obviously already sits inside CM natively. We want to bring this out in a future release, but haven't comitted to anything here yet.

    Hi Ryan,

That is a great suggestion. Do you imaging using the Client Push functionality in ConfigMgr and/or pushing the ConfigMgr client directly using WinRM or other functionalities?

    Best regards

Currently the agent is deployed through manual discovery using the SCCM console or as part of a new image deployment / upgrade using a step in the SCCM task sequence. All of these items consoles are currently off limits for desktop analysts. We want them to be able to use ConfigMgr portal to deploy the agent when necessary. Right now, this is a step that our SCCM admins are handling but need to offload.
