New Install issues
Hello,
I have just installed the portal, however I am unable to launch the website. I received an error on the install wizard saying "You cannot call a method on a null-valued expression."
When I browse to the website, it prompts me for a login, however no credentials actually authenticate.

Probably going to need more information to dig into this more such as the install log but first thing you need to do is ensure that you have all of your connectors built and that they have run in SCSM. If you don't have the groups that you are trying to use in the installer and the users that will be actually using the portal and your service accounts imported into SCSM you will see errors just like that.

@Gerardo_Ruiz In order to use SCSM and Cireson you need to create one or more Active Directory Connectors, which bring in AD Groups and Users. You can define LDAP Filters and define which users should be brought into the system.

Although it is SCSM 2022 it is also valid for other SCSM releases. You should enable the following checkbox when creating the connector else it will heavily impact the performance whenever the connector runs.
After the needed users and groups are imported, you can start the installation (if you want to be sure you can also wait a day or so ;-) )
@Simon_Zeinhofer thanks, it was not clear which connectors... I have some, they're filtering groups and active users, and I'm using only syncronized objects, but I have the same problem "You cannot call a method on a null-valued expression." after an off line installation, and the login prompt keeps comming out

I guess this would be something for the Cireson Support team, as the log file shows lots of errors.

Yes, I've followed prerequisites and install instructions, I've tried several times uninstalling (following these instructions How To: Uninstall the Cireson Portal) and installing, but I had the same result.
Finally, I don't know why, I solved it by keeping the fault installed portal, and resetting the accounts and passwords for the Cireson Platform and Cache Builder services and for the Application Pool.
It seems to be working now
