Handling Activities
I was dealt a blow today by our internal security team. No more email approvals for review activities. The reasoning is email can easily be spoofed and the nature of our business were are moving away from email as the means to communicate business functions. The Cireson portal still stands up with secure certificates and SSO. So I'm good there, but the approval process is now more tricky.
The problem I have, and maybe you too, is no matter how easy I make the process, it's never easy enough. I just got people to start using email approvals for tickets, because logging into the Cireson portal and then clicking the Activities tab and then finding the proper Review Activity is to much to ask. I was thinking of linking the approvals directly to the RA from email to circumvent the extra mouse clicks, but the Cireson portal does not directly link to activities.
What other solutions are out there in an ever increasing "one-click" world?

Hi Ian and Jeremy,
Apologies for the delay here, we are actualizing finalizing dates for 2017 at the moment but looking later in the year due to the mountain of new stuff we are coming out with in early 2017 and conflicting other conferences out there. I will make sure to update this thread and make an announcement once completed, should be by end of the month.
We are excited for the next Innovate, and it is coming!

One solution\idea is use the usersettings page of the portal (v5+)

If you wanted to get fancy you could have an ARO that direct links (v6 feature) to the page so it still shows as a request on your service catalog:

I originally was thinking the same thing @Tony_Collett, but I think @Brett_Moffett nailed it in the first few sentences. Specifically -
Because along a similar line of thought (presumably) from Brett I could now SMA runbook the end solution of a Hardware Asset is of Type "Desktop" or "Server" with a related Software Asset of the item and then create the respective relationship of "Authorized Computers" based on what is what.
