Re: Will re-install of Cireson portal with same ServiceManagement db name cause data loss?
Hi Daniel,
No, this is the upgrade process; to install a new version with the same DB name.
You are doing the same but with the same version.

Re: Request form does not match prompt configured in SCSM
Hi Brandon,
If you edit the RO with the Advanced Editor (don't double click but see option on the right hand side) you will see a layout section. That might be where a conditional visibility is configured.

Re: Block users from creating new requests/incidents in Cireson Portal
You mean they shall not be able to create these new work Items via the New Button on the bottom left in the Portal? In the work item settings you can set AD groups who shall be able to do that. If you want every user to have access to that, except this AD group, you would have to create an AD group with ALL users, except these and then set this AD group to be allowed to create Work Items with the NEW button.
It would be easier to only allow one certain group to create work items via the NEW button (in our case only analysts) and let the rest create them e.g. via Request Offerings in a Service Offering. You could then control the access to this service offering via SCSM user groups and exclude these users from this access - sounds like a lot of work though :/
Re: Service manager service accounts internet access
Hi Dean,
Nothing needs it but some might want it? Not sure that makes sense, let me explain.
- service manager service account - No
- service manager workflow account - If you have any cloud activities that call Webhooks on the internet or custom workflows that connect then yes. But OOB no.
- cireson portal website account - Yes if you want to use Cireson online licencing but you can use offline if not. Also Yes if you use Cireson Cloud connector and have internet Webhooks configured.
- cireson portal cachebuilder account - No
- service manager - system center configuration manager connector - No
Re: Bulk Import into Service Manager
Hi @Simon_Marais
The easiest way to import in bulk is using the Excel Add-In.
https://kb.cireson.com/article/install-asset-excel/19
They probably used that and I suggest you to as well.

Re: The Portal and OpenAI
Hi Brian,
Your timing is quite remarkable. There's a webinar happening tomorrow which spookily covered this topic. I trust we will see you there.

Re: Global Search and indexing the new data
Hello Bart,
Good questions. When you add a new class in the Global Search Settings, the changes will not be made until you click the 'Rebuild' button.
If you add a lot of new classes/properties, there will be a brief hit on performance after you click 'Rebuild'. This will trigger the platform to restart and be down for a few minutes. Then, when it's back up, it will build an index with the new data. The time this takes will depend on the amount of data that has been added. During this time, the system will be up but could be slow.
Once the index has been built, the performance will be back to normal.
Re: Custom class form
@Dean_Mrazek so you want to create your own custom form for your custom class?
You need to create a file with the name of your custom class, in your case COMPANYNAMENetworkDevice.js, inside the folder C:\inetpub\ciresonportal\customspace\configitem
Then you can define the form. The easiest way to do so, is to use a predefined template under C:\inetpub\CiresonPortal\Scripts\forms\templates, copy it to the configitem folder inside customspace and rename it to the name shown above. After that you have to rewrite the definition so it fits for your class. This Kb Article might help you:
I would also recommend adding your class do the dynamic data as described here:
