Licensing not updating with auto refresh

we just got the firewall openings working to use the auto refresh for license keys.... we tried to force a refresh by stopping an stating the portal but the date didn't change... any ideas?

    What was the expiry date? 4th Jan 2017?

    It updated overnight.... but I was under the impression it would also update if you restarted the webconsole which we did several times yesterday.... and nothing changed... am I wrong with that assumption? I will look through the web logs.... later .... below is the latest info which is correct..

    This product key is valid for any version prior to: 6.1.1.1

    Support and Maintenance expiration date for this product key: 3/31/2017.
