Re: Advice for 1/3/5 year roadmap
I haven't done this myself, however this is the way I might handle it after being exposed to SCSM/Cireson for a few years First year - Advanced Request Offering's is certainly your friend here! It all depends on which direction you want to take request offerings. Do they want to sort ROs by their Category (i.e. AD… -
Integrating SCOM to CMDB Portal
The Cireson SCSM CMDB portal is awesome because you can browse any Config Item class that you have resting inside of Service Manager. But as the Operations Manager folks amongst us already know, syncing discovered SCOM Inventory into SCSM offers a wealth of integration possibilities around Incident management, automation,… -
Re: What service offerings your organizations has on the portal?
I'm using Powershell to update the database, Orchestrator or a scheduled task will keep it updated. Powershell: function processfolder ($folderpath, $currentdepth) {<br><br>#for each subfolder<br>#if depth is less than 5 processfolder ($subfolderpath, $currentdepth +1)<br><br>$depth = $currentdepth<br><br>If ($depth -le… -
Re: How to use a stored procedure in custom.js?
@Margarete_Jussen, it sounds like you won't see this right away, but hopefully it helps when you get back. @Roland_Kind is showing a specific type of object using the Kendo UI controls that most of the forms and grids use. There are lots of good reasons for doing this, especially when binding to a grid as in his example,… -

Cireson Cohesive Design Preview
Yesterday, we received a great (and perfectly timed, I might add) comment from Peter (I hope it wasn't Peter Zerger making this comment) on one of our videos... https://vimeo.com/141798472 I gave a shot answer to his comment, because that's all I can really do on Vimeo - so here is my expanded answer with some background,… -
USER GUIDE: CIRESON PORTAL USER TYPES
Cireson Portal User Types: The Cireson Portal contains several user types whose permissions are a combination of rights granted from System Center Service Manager (SCSM) and rights granted inside the Cireson Portal. For a detailed discussion on the security model please see the following article:Cireson Portal and Security… -
SQL Server - Free Cache
Long story short, SCSM was really really slow. While a restart of the SQL Server or failover will fix the issue if it's a memory leak type of deal (like cache not being freed), it was time consuming and I don't want to have to mess around with that. Therefore, I came up with an SQL script to meet the business requirements… -
Re: Change Request Primary Owner
Ah, I had assumed you already had your type projection created and configured for the form by following the guide Brett mentioned above. I didn't think that because your ChangeRequest.js file didn't contain a custom Form Definition, you probably didn't have "Assign Forms to Active Directory Groups" filled out with a custom… -
Re: Portal performance tuning
I would like to see some portal tuning suggestions here, too. File compression, etc.? What about reducing the number of all those loadScript calls that many of us have in our customizations? There is much I still have to learn here and I am looking forward to other responses. But I definitely had some thoughts come to mind…
